“You should sit in Meditation for 20 minutes, unless you’re too busy, then you should sit for an hour” – Zen adage
Before I learnt to meditate, i would have been that person that would tell you they can’t do it, as their mind is too busy. Yeah, I dont like to practice things you see, I just like to know immediately. So as well as having a busy mind, i was also impatient, not exactly a winning combo for a zen life.
Being super stressed, living with a toxic relationship as well as running a high pressure PR company, managing a property portfolio and dealing with some intense family issues meant my anxiety and life was spiralling out of control.
I was papering over the cracks of my life with recreational drugs and abusing alcohol daily. I knew that I was headed towards a breakdown if I didn’t get a grip on my life.
I met Oszey Calland a former Buddhist monk in 2013, i was the only person that turned up to his meditation class. After the hour session I asked him why he wasn’t advertising on Facebook or twitter to fill his class. I could already see that the skills he was offering were beneficial for many people that I knew.
Oszey told me that as he had been living in a temple for the past 17 years he didn’t know how to use Social Media.Well of course I did, so I told him that I could do all that for him as this was what my business was about. Oszey wanted to teach me meditation in return for business development and we began to work together in one on one sessions daily, sometimes sitting in Meditation for hours at a time.
These days I dont sit in Meditation, I spend my life there. I love to teach others how to free their minds too, so that they can live happier with more control over their emotions.
I have learnt how to use the Law of Attraction, through the power of the subconscious mind as well as how to stop all negative self talk. I no longer fear death and depression and anxiety are a thing of the past.
I’m truly grateful to have learnt this skill and if you want to learn, I can teach you. I hold weekly classes as listed below…
